He has officially arrived! We are so excited and welcome with joy our 2nd son, Riley Colson Lindsay. He is beautiful, healthy & perfect in every way. We are praising the Lord for this precious gift and are loving all the little coos, cries, soft skin, baby stuff... the list goes on!
I was scheduled for a c-section and Riley decided to wait till his appointed day to come! I had had a few contractions the week before that made me wonder if he might not wait, but he wasn't quite ready, I guess!
He was born, Thursday, July 8, 2010 at 7:56 a.m. He weighed in at a healthy 7 lb. 15.9 oz. and was 20.5 inches long. He has a full head of gorgeous, dark hair and is so cuddly and sweet.
Rodney and I are really enjoying this sweet time with him-- holding him, having him lay on our chest to sleep, changing those cute tiny, little newborn diapers (I forgot how small they are!) .... it brings back such precious memories of this time with Reid. I remember all too well how fast this time goes when they are this small! Riley is eating well and sleeping great... although his days & nights are still a bit mixed up, that's okay. I am enjoying every minute!
Reid is being a GREAT big brother so far and has been so sweet & gentle with Riley. Everytime we pray before meals, he thanks Jesus for his little brother. So sweet! It was my biggest fear that Reid would not adjust well to the baby being home, but God has worked it out. That is so the Lord, isn't it? :)
