Birthday Fun!

Yesterday I celebrated yet another birthday... Praise the Lord.  I can hardly believe I am 38.  Two years away from 40.  What the heck?  Where did time go?  Crazy!  I love being older.  I've learned so much about myself and what I want out of life.  I feel good, I'm stronger, I'm healthy,  I'm a wife of almost 9 years and a mother of 2 precious boys.  The most important thing is, I'm much closer to the Lord than I was just 10 years ago.  I really can't complain.  There's nothing wrong with age... they say it's only how you feel & not how old you are, right?  That's what I'll tell myself when I turn 40!

My sweet husband put up a few decorations to make my day special! Precious.  I heart this man!  Afterwards, he took the boys & I to the neighborhood coffee & donut place to begin the celebrating early!

That afternoon, I got treated to lunch by a precious friend.  The day just kept getting better!

Me & both my sweet boys.  My in-laws took us to dinner last night.  We got to eat out on the patio.  It was truly the picturesque  gorgeous day yesterday.  Thank you Lord for yet another birthday present!

And we ended the night by getting to go out to see a movie while Rod's parents babysat.  What a nice surprise!  Thank you babe and thank you to my in-laws!  Afterwards, we came home to have a little dessert.  No birthday is complete without a little birthday cake, right?  

March 1, 1974, God gave me life.  He held me in His arms and protected me.  He grew me into a toddler, a child, a teenager, and then an adult. He blessed me with an adoring husband in 2003, and then Reid in 2007 and Riley in 2010.  Now, in 2012, I am still blessed and just so thankful for the years he's given me!

Thank you, Lord for another year of life.  I am grateful for everyday... some are easier than others.  :) I am grateful for my amazing husband, my precious boys, and wonderful friends & family.  Thank you for a wonderful birthday, Lord!  Your blessings are so immense.
