Ice and snow... day 4

Here are a few more activities we've preoccupied ourselves with in the last 2 days
while we've been snowed in....

Making cupcakes. Always a hit in this house!

Shaving cream in the bathtub. Who knew this would
entertain a child for hours upon end??

The most fun I've had being a mom to date!
Note to self: stock up on shaving cream in the winter months.
You never know when you might need it!

AND the biggest news to hit Dallas this year so far besides the
Super Bowl coming to Jerry World....
6 inches of SNOW!!!!!

We finally got out in it after Reid's nap and had to coax this
boy to go out in the snow! I think someone woke up on the
wrong side of his bed this afternoon! :/

Outside and not quite sure what to make of all this craziness.

Starting to warm up a little...

Riley seems to like it just fine. No whining or complaining
out of this guy!

All of my boys. Precious!

My little snow buddy.

Both of my snow buddies :)

Making snow angels. Hilarious.

Now we're happy!

This has been a fun week of being a SUPER DUPER creative mommy!
I've pulled out all my creative tricks. Some successful, some not so great. Some of my best ideas were, well, complete flops! When I thought I had the best idea ever, my 3 year old nixed it in a second! However, we made it through 4 days of being iced in, snowed in, and hanging out pretty much at home minus a trip to Carl's Jr. on the ice covered streets. Reid wasn't that hard to entertain if he was watching tv. We watched WAY too much of that, but I don't think he'll be scarred for life. Right?

Here are a few of the things I came up with to help entertain my little one:

fruit loop necklaces
Valentine crafts
building forts
reading under the fort
making cupcakes
paper snowflakes
marshmellow snowmen
playing trucks
putting bowls on our heads and being silly
tickle fights
shaving cream in the bathtub
playing in the snow
tv, tv, and more tv

I've kind of enjoyed being stuck at home and not having to get out everyday--
especially when it is 15 degrees outside! Mercy! HOWEVER, I am now ready to get OUT.OF.THIS.HOUSE. It's time for the snow to melt and for moms and kids to escape! Can I get an amen from all the mommies out there?
SO glad I don't live somewhere where it is like this all the time.
I truly to do not think I could deal with these freezing temps on a daily basis.
Lucky for me, we live in Texas where it's summer about 4-5 mo. out of the year!
Happy winter everyone!
